Wellington Recreation will host an adult softball forum 7-9 p.m. Feb. 27 in the Leeper Center Board Room at 3800 Wilson Ave. The event is open to the public.
We will go over a brief history of adult softball in Wellington and review some of the hows and whys of the league. The rest of the time will be for open discussion on rules, policies and procedures.
New in 2014: register your adult softball team online March 15 or 16 and receive a 10 percent discount on team fees (regular team fees are $560). Regular registration for adult softball is open March 17-April 11 or until leagues fill. Adult and Youth spring sports registration opens Feb. 3. Adults can register a team for our 7v7 adult coed soccer league ($300 team fee, good for eight games).
Youth offerings include Start Smart soccer or football and team play soccer or flag football. Ages 3 and up can participate in our spring programs. Registration fees for youth sports start at $40.
Our youth sports are powered by volunteer coaches. Coaching a youth team can be one of the most rewarding experiences, and it’s a great way for parents to spend time with their kids.
