Funkwerks was the only Fort Collins brewery (out of 11 FoCo participants) to win at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival – a Gold medal in Category: 5 Belgian-Style Fruit Beer for Raspberry Provincial. They will join more than 12 other FoCo breweries participating in Beer Week from June 20-27, ending with the Colorado Brewers Festival Saturday & Sunday. The breweries include: Funkwerks, New Belgium, Odell, Pateros Creek, Black Bottle, Equinox, Fort Collins Brewery, Zwei Brewing, CooperSmiths, Horse & Dragon, C.B. & Potts and 1933 Brewing. Hopefully, FoCo can get some award-winning recipes ready for GABF in September during this “un-festival” presented by Fortified Collaborations. Beer Week is all about enjoying craft beer responsibly and appreciating those who make it.
