The City of Fort Collins Streets Department is scheduled to begin crack seal operations on major (arterial) roadways during night time hours, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, August 10. This will be completed as part of the Street Maintenance Program, and the entire project is expected to last approximately three weeks in duration. Crack seal is a fast moving operation that is being performed during night time hours to help mitigate traffic impacts. Moving lane closures are required to complete the work. No full street closures will be required.
The project is anticipated to progress in the following order (various locations throughout these sections):
· Harmony Road between I-25 and Taft Hill Road
· Horsetooth Road between Lemay Avenue and Timberline Road
Weather has a large influence on the schedule, and operations may be delayed because of precipitation. The exact areas where work is being performed will be designated with “Road Work Ahead” signs and traffic control cones.
