Obituary: Billy Guy Bachman, rodeo champion and Wyoming brand inspector, has died

Billy Guy Bachman was born on Nov. 20, 1923 to Guy and Beatrice Simianer Bachman in Fort Collins and lived for many years in the northern areas of Virginia Dale and Wellington.

Billy was a world-class rodeo rider winning many awards riding bulls, saddle broncs and bareback. He also lived in Wyoming and served the state as a brand inspector.

After retirement he lived in New Mexico and Texas. He passed away on the Aug. 16, 2014 in Frankston, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara Switzer Bachman, and his son Timothy and daughter Cindy.
