Grateful Disc Spring Frisbee Festival launches in Red Feather Lakes on May 11

The second event of the 2012 Colorado Disc Sports Association Thin Air Tour visits the gorgeous Sundance Trail mountain course in Red Feather Lakes on May 11-13 and celebrates the grand opening of the brand new Horsetooth Hughes Stadium course.

The 35th annual Grateful Disc Spring Frisbee Festival disc golf tournament will bring players from 6 different states to compete for CDSA and Professional Disc Golf Association points, as well as having a lot of fun throwing discs with friends in the great Colorado outdoors.

Sundance Trail Guest Ranch and mountain course is off of County Road 74E (Red Feather Lakes Road), 17.8 miles up the hill from The Forks restaurant and about 1 mile past Boy Scout Road (CR 68C).

This tournament is also celebrating the grand opening of the Horsetooth Hughes Stadium course for players and the general public on Sunday afternoon, May 13.

The tournament will start with a best-shot doubles round, Friday evening May 11. Then on Saturday, May 12 all players in all divisions will be playing two rounds at the gorgeous Sundance Trail course, offering technical and challenging throws amongst the beautiful
northern Colorado mountains.

Sunday, May 13 will be one round at the brand new Horsetooth Hughes Stadium course. After which there will be an awards ceremony for the tournament and then the grand opening celebration begins. There will be disc demos and instructional clinics with disc professionals of all types as well as snacks, refreshments and other fun activities for everyone. The public is welcome & encouraged to come see all the action.
