Drs. Andy and Marta Dean are always looking for new ways to serve their clients. LaPorte Animal Clinic recently purchased a portable, digital X-ray processor that will enhance many of their veterinary services, including equine and pet dentistry. Since it can be used in the field, clients have the advantage of instant X-ray results. Radiographs can be sent electronically to specialists if needed. It will also be used at their Waverly equine haul-in facility and the LaPorte clinic.
The Deans have also purchased new dental drill and polishing equipment to provide safer, faster and less traumatic dental care for dogs, cats and rabbits.
Dr. Andy Dean reminds local residents that heartworm season is here, and it’s important to get dogs tested and start preventatives NOW. Also, the threat of rabies is very real in Larimer County, so be sure pets and horses are up-to-date with their rabies vaccinations.
LaPorte Animal Clinic can be reached at 970-490-1999.
