For unincorporated area residents interested in debris disposal from the recent storm: Larimer County officials say that because Larimer County is over 2,600 square miles, geographical limitations do not allow county-wide branch pick-up and financial considerations do not allow for costs changes or adjustments at the Larimer County landfill.
The landfill is entirely self-funded through user fees which are based on the actual cost of disposing of material, including material such as storm debris. The landfill does not receive any revenue from taxes or from other government funding sources.
Larimer County officials suggest homeowners contact their homeowner’s association — if they have one — for possible assistance.
