What do craft beer, a five-story grain elevator and a dream have in common? Old Colorado Brewing Company. The 1920’s grain elevator at 8121 W. First St. in Wellington is currently under reconstruction by its new owners Tara and Brandon Neckel. The brewery will offer a variety of beers, all brewed from the recipes created by Brandon’s grandfather who owned the original Old Colorado Brewing Co. in 1989 in Fort Collins. The brewery will also have on tap a gluten free beer and will offer sodas, snacks, and host a variety of food trucks. There will be two patios open all year long; the front patio will sit on an old, but still working semi scale and will have wheelchair access, while the back patio will look out over the majestic Rocky Mountains. The Neckels will keep all the original flooring and walls and plan on using some of the old equipment left behind for decoration. For more information, visit them on Facebook or call 970.217.2129
