Poetry Slams

Bean-Cycle-Poetry-Slams
First Fridays at the Bean Cycle are packed with performance poetry and the best espresso in town. Hosted by “Booger,” these Poetry Slams are exciting ways for people to showcase their best written word in front of an adult crowd and have a chance to win the jar of money. Slams start at 8pm every First Friday, but you’ll need to get there earlier if you want the chance to perform. Spots fill up fast and participants are eliminated through rounds as the evening progresses. Volunteer judges are staggered throughout the room to score the readers after each performance. Poetry Slam readers don’t hold anything back. This is how they feel – they tell you – and it’s the truth. The validation received from a crowd of people is amazing at curing all the angst inside you. That’s what slam poetry is all about. Go to www.wolverinefarm.org for more information.
