PVREA board member Jack Schneider elected president of statewide association

Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association board member Jack Schneider has been elected president of the Colorado Rural Electric Association board.

CREA is PVREA’s statewide service organization, made up of Colorado’s electric cooperatives, that provides a variety of services including legislative representation, publication of its magazine, safety training, and education programs for directors and employees. Through CREA, PVREA shares with other electric cooperatives the advantages of a larger operation, with control and ownership maintained at the local level through board representation.

With Schneider acting as CREA president, the PVREA membership gains a leadership role in the electric industry throughout the state of Colorado. Schneider has served on the CREA board of directors since 2009 and the PVREA board of directors since 2002.

“It’s a privilege to represent the membership at the statewide level and a great opportunity to lead in a time when the electric industry is facing many exciting opportunities and challenges,” Schneider commented.

Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative serving more than 39,500 consumer-members in Boulder, Larimer and Weld counties in Northern Colorado. More information is available at pvrea.com.
