School board asks for community input on hiring new superintendent

The Poudre School District Board of Education is seeking input from staff, parents, students, business leaders and residents regarding what they would like to see in the new PSD Superintendent.

Four community forums, facilitated by the Center for Public Deliberation at Colorado State University, will be held beginning next week.

· Monday, Sept. 24, 6-8 p.m. at Fort Collins High School, 3400 Lambkin Way, in the Administrative Conference Room.
· Wednesday, Sept. 26, 6-8 p.m. at Rocky Mountain High School, 1300 W. Swallow St., in the Media Center.
· Thursday, Sept. 27, 6-8 p.m. at Poudre High School, 201 Impala Drive, in the Event Center.
· Monday, Oct. 1, 6-8 p.m. at Fossil Ridge High School, 5400 Ziegler Road, in the Auditorium Round House.

An online survey will be available until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at www.surveymonkey.com/s/PSD_Superintendent
(English) or
www.surveymonkey.com/s/SUPERINTENDENTE (Spanish).

The Board will compile the input and hire a search firm to assist in the search process in October. Additional community input will be gathered during the interview process with the goal of having a new superintendent hired by Spring 2013.
