Vehicle licensing appointments available online

Taking care of your vehicle licensing in Larimer County just got easier, thanks to an online appointment option offered by the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder. Just go to www.larimer.org and book your appointment.

“We’re breaking new ground here in Larimer County with this service,” said Larimer County clerk and recorder Angela Myers. “We are the first in the state to offer an automated appointment option to our general public for handling vehicle-licensing transactions.”

While state driver’s license facilities have offered appointments for some time, this is a new service for vehicle-licensing customers. Increased wait times have become the norm for vehicle licensing offices across the state in recent years, as the Colorado population grows and the number of vehicle purchases increases overall.

While everyone dislikes waiting in line, Myers is quick to point out that it does have an up side: “These wait times have energized us to get creative about improving our operations — to the extent that the law allows. This new appointment feature is just one improvement in an arsenal of operational shifts within our vehicle licensing operations.”

The new automated appointment feature included a soft launch for use by county staff and rollout to the general public on Feb. 1.
