On Aug. 7 the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a 34-year-old Denver woman with facial injuries. The woman was part of a work crew clearing trees on private property near mile marker 19 on the Cherokee Park Road. She reported she was struck in the face with a pistol and shot at by a co-worker following an argument.
During the investigation deputies contacted a 27-year-old Denver man, who was also working to clear trees, who reported a similar incident. Following an argument, he too was struck in the side of the head with a pistol and shot at by the same individual.
Investigators obtained an arrest warrant and a search warrant for the property following the interviews with the victims. In cooperation with the Boulder County SWAT team, the Larimer County SWAT team executed both warrants on Aug. 9.
