“Ralph Steadman And Another Thing: Artist Talk and Reception” runs from 4:30 to 8 p.m. and features Sadie Williams, Steadman’s daughter, discussing her father’s six-decade career and artistic influence.

The evening begins at 4:30 p.m. with a meet-and-greet with Williams in the Griffin Foundation Gallery. At 5:30 p.m., Williams will present a lecture in the Organ Recital Hall followed by a question-and-answer session.

A reception will follow from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Hoffert Learning Center. The gallery closes at 8 p.m.

Steadman is internationally recognized for his expressive ink drawings, illustrations and collaborations, including his work associated with gonzo journalism. His distinctive style has combined satire, political commentary and social observation throughout a career spanning more than six decades.

“Ralph has spent over six decades turning that whip of ink and his trembling lines into a roar,” exhibition co-curator and coordinator Andrea Lee Harris said, describing his work as a voice that challenges authority and encourages viewers to remain questioning and engaged with the world.

The event is free and takes place at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art, 1400 Remington St. in Fort Collins.
