Seven new works will debut Sept. 5 along Windsor Lake

WINDSOR, Colo. — Seven new works of public art will soon line Windsor Lake as the Town of Windsor’s Sculpture on Loan program enters its second season.
The Windsor Arts Commission, with support from the Town of Windsor Culture Division, will unveil the new sculptures during an opening celebration Saturday, Sept. 5, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Windsor Lake, 100 N. 5th St.
The inaugural season of Sculpture on Loan ends Aug. 23. The seven sculptures displayed since last summer will be removed and replaced by seven new pieces selected by the Windsor Arts Commission.
After installation, the new sculptures will remain covered until their official unveiling Sept. 5.
Community members are invited to gather at 9 a.m. along the west side of Windsor Lake on the Dr. Tom Jones Trail for a tour of the newly installed artwork. Visitors will also be able to vote for their favorite sculpture.
The artist receiving the most votes will be awarded a $750 cash prize.
