Fort Collins club caps inaugural season two points from first place

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Aggies FC has been named the 2026 Women’s Premier Soccer League Mountain West Conference Rockies Division Organization of the Year, capping a successful inaugural season for the Fort Collins-based women’s soccer club.
Aggies FC finished just two points out of first place in the Rockies Division during its first season in the WPSL while building a new organization, developing a competitive roster and creating a matchday experience for soccer fans across Northern Colorado.
Club founder Scott Westcoat said the recognition reflects contributions from throughout the organization and community.
“We’re extremely proud of what this group accomplished in our first year, and even more excited because we know we’re just getting started,” Westcoat said. “What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it belongs to everyone. This is a total team award.”
The honor recognizes the work of players, coaches, staff, volunteers, community partners, sponsors, supporters and families who helped establish the club. Aggies FC’s coaching staff is also entirely Fort Collins-based.
Aggies FC entered the WPSL in 2026 with a goal of providing elite female athletes a high-level competitive environment while building a sustainable women’s soccer program for Fort Collins and Northern Colorado.
Head Coach Jayme Beamer said the team’s first season required establishing its culture while competing at a high level.
“What I’m most proud of is the way this group came together and represented the club, each other and this community,” Beamer said. “To finish two points out of first place and earn this recognition says a tremendous amount about the commitment of our players and everyone surrounding this team.”
Westcoat described the award as an early milestone rather than a culmination.
“We’re proud of what was accomplished in year one, but we’re much more excited about what comes next,” Westcoat said. “We want Aggies FC to become something this community genuinely considers its own.”
The club also credited its corporate and community partners and Colorado State University for supporting its inaugural season and helping establish elite women’s soccer in Fort Collins.
Aggies FC will now begin preparations for its second WPSL season while continuing to expand its presence throughout Northern Colorado.
