North Poudre Irrigation Co. has terminated its lease with Colorado Parks & Wildlife for Wellington Reservoir #4 and will close the reservoir Nov. 1. Work will then begin to bring the reservoir back to a condition that will allow the company to store the total adjudicated amount of water available for storage per decree. In the process, existing trees and fish will be removed from the site. Reconstruction will take between two and three years to complete.
