Bird banding project seeks young participants

The Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory and Fort Collins Museum of Discovery are looking for young scientists to help with research. Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to observe ornithologists with the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory as they band numerous non-resident birds from a variety of species that are in the midst of migratory journeys hundreds, if not thousands, of miles long. See the birds up close and help release them after the data collection is completed. Geared for young and school-aged children as well as adults.

Free, accessible and open to the public. Every Tuesday through Saturday between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., from
September 16 – October 11.

Located on the Poudre River Trail access sidewalk, west of the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery. Cancellations can occur to due high winds and inclement weather.
