Fort Collins fireworks scheduled for Sept. 16 at City Park

For 100 years City Park in Fort Collins has been a center-point for family gatherings, cultural events and community celebrations. Throughout 2012 we have celebrated City Park’s historic contribution to our community. On Sept. 16 City Park will be honored with a community celebration that includes live music and a fireworks display. The community celebration will begin at 5 p.m. with live music from “Twirling Zucchini Trio.” The popular and entertaining all-sister band “SHEL” takes the stage at 7 p.m. The celebration will conclude with a fireworks display over Sheldon Lake at 8:10 p.m.

Free shuttles to City Park will be offered to community members during the City Park 100 Celebration on September 16. Shuttle pick-up and return locations will be located at:
• Downtown Transit Center – 250 N Mason between LaPorte and Maple
• CSU Moby Arena Parking Lot – 951 West Plum Street
• CSU Transit Center – located on the north end of the Lory Student Center

Pick up times will start at 4:30 p.m. and end at 7:50 p.m. from these locations. Return trips will start at 8:30 p.m. and end at 9:15 p.m.

Pets will not be allowed in City Park during the City Park 100 Celebration. Alcohol is not permitted in City Park. Parking may be limited; it is advised that citizens take advantage of the free shuttles.
