Girl Scouts plant peace pole at Cache La Poudre school

Kindergarten through third-grade Daisies and Brownies from Girl Scout Troop 74160, from Cache La Poudre Elementary School, rallied around troop member Makena Tucci’s idea to buy two peace poles.

The girls handmade holiday ornaments and peace wreaths which they sold to raise funds and last month, planted a peace pole at the school.
“They set a goal and succeeded,” Makenka’s mother Kristy Tucci said.

The girls are appreciative of the people in LaPorte and Bellvue who supported their project.
