Larimer County voters favor regulated marijuana, Fort Collins drops ban on MMJ dispensaries

Larimer County mirrored the rest of Colorado in approving state amendment 64, which essentially legalizes recreational use of marijuana. Although federal regulations ban production and distribution of marijuana, it’s now the task of the state legislature to finesse the fiscal and regulatory requirements.

Fort Collins also handily approved a measure to allow medical marijuana businesses in the city. This reverses the vote of one year ago.
