New sessions of Powerful Tools for Caregivers offered

A coalition of agencies including the Larimer County Office on Aging is once again sponsoring a free, 6-week class for anyone caring for a family member. If you hire someone to provide care while you are at work, call your mom weekly to see if she’s OK, help a parent with finances, or have a loved one living with a chronic illness, this class is for you.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is offered in three separate sessions in different locations to fit your schedule.

• Wednesdays, Sept. 19-Oct. 24, 1-3:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 531 S. College Ave., Fort Collins. Call 970-482-6107 to register.
• Tuesdays, Oct. 2-Nov. 16, noon-1:30 p.m., Center for Neurorehabilitation Services, 1045 Robertson St., Fort Collins; 493-6667.
• Wednesdays, Oct. 3-Nov.17. 5:45-7:15 p.m., Aspen Club, Poudre Valley Hospital Cafe B, 1024 S. Lemay Ave., Fort Collins; 970-495-8560.

Participants will learn how to reduce tress, better communicate feelings, balance life, deal with difficult emotions and locate helpful resources.
