Northern Colorado Writers looking for creative nonfiction

Northern Colorado Writers announces the second contest in its 2012 contest series: Personal Essay/Creative Nonfiction. The contest is open to everyone and offers cash prizes of 1st: $200, 2nd: $100, and 3rd: $50. Winners and honorable mentions will be published in the second annual winners’ anthology, Pooled Ink: Celebrating the 2012 NCW Contest Winners, scheduled for release on December 1. Entry fees are $10 if mailed, $15 if e-mailed.

The final judge for this category is writer, poet, and songwriter, Mr. Kim Stafford. Stafford’s books include “The Muses Among Us: Eloquent Listening and Other Pleasures of the Writer’s Craft,” “Early Morning: Remembering My Father, William Stafford,” and “Having Everything Right: Essays of Place.”
