Quit-tobacco class with free nicotine replacement starts Sept. 10

A new six-week Step Free from Tobacco class begins at 6 p.m. Sept. 10, at the Health District of Northern Larimer County, 120 Bristlecone Drive in Fort Collins.

The class lasts six weeks and includes free nicotine patches, gum or lozenges for up to three months. It is led by a master-level certified tobacco treatment specialist.

The cost for residents of the Health District ranges from $10 to $100 per person, depending on income. Out-of-district residents pay $100. A “buddy discount” of 25 percent is available for district residents who enroll in the program with a friend or relative.

For those who have questions about the class or about quitting tobacco in general, the Health District will hold a free one-hour informational meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 3, at the Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive.
