The North Fork Weed Coop will host a Land Stewardship workshop on July 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Red Feather Lakes POA, 58 Firehouse Lane, in Red Feather Lakes.

David Leatherman, a retired entomologist from Colorado State University will speak on the mountain pine beetle infestation; Chad Hoffman, assistant professor of Forest & Rangeland Stewardship at Colorado State University will talk about interactions between bark beetles and fire, disturbance ecology and will present models of wildfire behavior.

Erica Goad, a graduate student in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources at Colorado State University will present an overview of her research on wildlife activity and wildlife habitat in the watershed of the North Fork.
