Norm Jorgensen of Loveland graduated from the CSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. As vice president for marketing at Jorgensen Laboratories, Inc. in Loveland, he is pleased to help fund The Jorgensen Laboratories, Inc. Chair in Clinical Sciences. This gift will enable the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences to attract the highest levels of faculty. Dr. Mark Setter, dean of the college, states that “An endowed chair from an alumnus of our Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program is especially meaningful.”

Norm spent years in private practice, then returned to help his family at Jorgensen Labs, Inc.  Norm’s brother, Hans Jorgensen is president and his brother-in-law Earle Sethre is administrative vice president. A family owned business since 1965, Jorgensen Laboratories, Inc. provides veterinarians with the most advanced equipment and instruments available. Norm Jorgensen’s father, Irvin Jorgensen founded Jorgensen Labs, Inc., also known as JorVet, in his home in Loveland. The company employs technicians who provide technical support and field representatives who train distributers and vet clinic staff to use the products. New products include digital incubators, centrifuges and the No Flap Ear Wrap.

Norm Jorgensen has made other donations to support the veterinary program and has also supported Rams athletics. His daughter Annelise, has a Bachelor of Science in business administration and his brother, Hans, has three children with undergraduate degrees from CSU. The endowment from Norm will pay for a faculty position in Emergency and Critical Care at the James L. Voss teaching hospital.
