Biodiesel for Bands is a not for profit professional membership association whose mission is to help performers tour safely, affordably and sustainably – by providing education, affordable vehicles, biodiesel fuel and a professional support network of businesses and nonprofits.
On December 6th, the organization is hosting an Annual Membership Party (AMP) at the Higher Ground Rehearsal Studio from 6:00 – 11:00pm. The new rehearsal space for local musicians at 208 Commerce Drive is a 3,000+ warehouse turned state-of-the-art musician jam complex. Higher Ground is pleased to bring the event to their space in order to highlight the achievements of the organization with its members and supporters. This year, AMP is hosted in partnership with the Fort Collins Chamber Music Society (www.fcchambermusic.org). The evening will feature catering from Hog Wild BBQ, a stellar silent auction, and music from two of Fort Collins’ most revered bands: The Patti Fiasco and Matt Mahern and Constitution. The Fort Collins Chamber Music Society will kick off the celebration with a re-envisioned performance with music by Mozart and the Rollins Stones.
President of the BFB Board, John Long, and Executive Director Eric Skjerseth, are thrilled to be celebrating the past year’s achievements with everyone. The amazing musicians make AMP possible, along with several businesses in Fort Collins who support and celebrate live music and sustainable innovation.
“With all the love we are getting, this is sure to be the party of the year,” says Skjerseth.
In 2014, Biodiesel for Bands and its members and fans have kept over 10 tons of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere!
The event is open to members only. To get an invitation, become a member today at www.biodieselforbands.org.
