An invitation to join Wellington Kiwanis Club

Would you like to support the Wellington Kiwanis Club? Help kids in our community? Here is your opportunity! The Wellington Kiwanis Club is being formed and we would like you to be part of it.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. It was founded in 1915 and headquartered in Indianapolis. There are over 600,000 members, and nearly 15,000 clubs in more than 90 nations. Community improvement is realized by doing service projects for the youth of the community.

Kiwanis is the place for you if you: Believe children are the future; take pride in your community; want to reach out to those in need; enjoy meeting new people.

Kiwanis members work to improve communities, one child at a time; build enduring friendships; better the lives of children; participate in fun and fellowship; sharpen leadership skills; develop business contacts; gain insight into local and international issues; attain great appreciation of their own talents and successes.

The Wellington Kiwanis Club has completed two service projects: provided balloons for the annual Easter Egg Hunt and helped children from the Boys & Girls Club plant flower pots to be given to their mothers for Mother’s Day. Plans are being made to help with the Car Show during. The Town’s Fourth of July Celebrations.

The Wellington Kiwanis Club meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7 p.m. at the Days Inn, 7860 Sixth Street.
