Allstate employees work with Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department, donate $10,000

Allstate employees around the country coordinated volunteerism projects as a part of Allstate’s first Week of Service on Aug. 6-10.

Allstate employees and agents in Colorado volunteered at the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department on Aug. 7. Employees and agents helped by filling sandbags, cleaning out the bays, cleaning the fire trucks, testing equipment and organizing the station. Allstate also contributed $10,000 to the department from The Allstate Foundation as a way to help the department rebuild after the devastating High Park Fire.

In addition to the Week of Service, Allstate honors the community service of our employees with grant programs that provide financial support to the nonprofits they serve. In 2011, The Allstate Foundation supported the volunteerism of employees and agency owners with more than $2 million in grants to local nonprofit organizations.

Allstate is represented locally by insurance agent James Michalka who has an office on West Drake in Fort Collins. He can be reached at 970-223-1332.
