Fort Collins Museum of Discovery commemorating Endangered Species Day

FCMoD will host a local wildlife biologist for an evening presentation and special film screening on Endangered Species Day on May 17 at 7 p.m.

Local wildlife biologist Travis Livieri will present “The Endangered Black-Footed Ferret: Rescuing a Species from Extinction.” Livieri is the Executive Director of Prairie Wildlife Research, a local nonprofit that works extensively in the field to save the endangered black-footed ferret. Livieri will follow his presentation with a special showing of Return of the Prairie Bandit, a visually stunning 50-minute documentary chronicling the return of black-footed ferrets to the Canadian prairies.
