Homes confirmed lost to High Park Fire

The High Park Fire is now at 49,763 acres with 10 percent containment, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department. More than 1,300 firefighting personnel are now working the fire.

The sheriff’s office has been conducting home assessments and evacuation area evaluations. Officials are informing homeowners about fire damage as it becomes available and say the priority will be getting this information to residents first. To date, 31 homeowners from the Stratton Park, Pine Acres and parts of Poudre Canyon have been notified that their homes have been destroyed. The assessment is still under way and this number will continue to grow.
