Larimer County Workforce Center's Young Entrepreneur Tournament now accepting applications

Calling all artists, inventors and fearless creators. The Fifth Annual Young Entrepreneur Tournament is now enrolling participants 18 and under.

The Young Entrepreneur Tournament is a four-consecutive-Saturday series that inspires and teaches participants to develop their ideas into functioning business plans. Each participant will pitch a business plan in a “Shark Tank”-styled format of community business owners and compete for $1,500 in prize money.

Participants will work with Charisse Bowen, a successful entrepreneur and former director of Colorado State University’s Institute for Entrepreneurship, to discover, compete and win. The tournament will meet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, April 25 through May 16, at the Larimer County Workforce Center, 200 West Oak St. in Fort Collins. The final event will be held May 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Space is limited. No experience with entrepreneurship is necessary to participate. This hands-on workshop will teach you how to turn an idea into a business plan and will give you the support to help you get that business off the ground and running this summer. The deadline to apply is March 31.
