Open letter to Rep. Perry Buck:
Because you’re a member of the House Transportation Committee, I thought you might like to see the attached photos and the message sent to the CDOT Engineering Department about Colorado 1 coming through Wellington. It is a main road through town and becomes a mess when it rains.
We have been trying to get it taken care of for several years now with no results. Any help you might give us in regard to this problem would be greatly appreciated. I am Ccing this message to Commissioner Gilliland, who serves our district 5 on the Colorado Transportation Commission. She is aware that we have a drainage problem on Cleveland Avenue here in town. By the way, this intersection is both a school crossing and the point at which our fire station vehicles come out from their garage area which is 1/2 block away on Third Street.
