Fort Collins-based watercolor artist Kimberly Lavelle had two works included in the new book “Cat Sayings: Wit & Wisdom from the Whiskered Ones.” Published on Sept. 1 by bookcollaborative.com and available on Amazon, “Cat Sayings,” by Bradford G. Wheler, features sayings about cats by famous people paired with works by 60 different artists from nine different countries.
Lavelle, who has donated watercolors to the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department’s annual art auction and 25 percent of commissioned portraits to the Fort Collins Cat Rescue and the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program, also has another book about to be released. Her painting “Gardenia for Cynthia” is the cover art for “White Gardenia” by Belinda Alexandra, to published by Harper Collins/Australia in December.
