New public computer center open in Wellington

The Poudre River Public Library District celebrated the opening of its new public computer center at the River of Life Fellowship, 3161 E. County Road 62e in Wellington, on Sept. 11.

The center provides free access to the Internet and computer training. Free computer classes will be offered on the first and third Saturday of each month, from 9 a.m. to noon. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., anyone can drop in to use the computers and Internet for free.

Community Message

Registration for the classes in computer basics, Internet basics and Microsoft Word basics is required and limited to 10 participants. To register, call the fellowship at 970-568-0838.

The library district’s goal is to help area residents with online job searches and resume building, business development, digital literacy and to provide them access to high-speed broadband services.

The public computer center is a partnership between Poudre River Public Library District and the River of Life, with support from Colorado State Library and the Broadband Technology Opportunity Program.
