NoCo Rebuilding Network to award 37 grants to High Park Fire survivors

The NoCo Rebuilding Network (NCRN) will give funds to High Park and Woodland Heights survivors who are rebuilding their primary residences in Larimer County. Thirty-seven families will be awarded grants to support them in their efforts to rebuild safer, stronger and smarter homes. The High Park and Woodland Heights fires burned more than 89,000 acres and destroyed 284 homes.

In addition to the grant program, NCRN offers a free educational series on rebuilding, access to donated and discounted building materials and a coalition of over 50 building professionals, many whom volunteer their time at the educational series. This is an example of Community coming together at its best.

Community Message

Since early June of 2012, NCRN has raised over $180,000 from over 50 fundraisers and countless private and business donations. NCRN will continue to raise funds throughout the winter in hopes of supporting a second round of grants for spring 2013. Rebuilding safer, stronger and smarter not only helps the people and communities of the fire areas but also benefits the surrounding communities and all of Colorado. The NoCo Rebuilding Network was formed in the spring of 2011 by a group of volunteers from our local community. We are firefighters, builders, architects, residents and local businesses. We believe in coming together to take care of our own. We believe in providing education and resources so that people can make good decisions.
