Red Larimer County’s Red Mountain Open Space, near the Soapstone Prairie Natural Area north of Fort Collins, will close for the season on Saturday, Dec. 1. Because of winter weather conditions and to protect wintering range for big game, the area will remain closed to the public until March 1, 2013.
