The Gardens at Spring Creek hosts fundraising event Jan. 28

The Gardens on Spring Creek is hosting “Gardening on the Cutting Edge” on January 28. This fundraising event features presentations by Marcia Tatroe, author of Cutting Edge Gardening in the Intermountain West, and Dan Johnson, Curator of Native Plants at Denver Botanic Garden.

Marcia Tatroe will present “Four Seasons in the Xeric Garden” and Dan Johnson will present “Meet the Natives: Bridging the Gap between Trail and Garden”. Also, Ms. Tatroe will be signing copies of her book that are purchased at the event.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the design and installation of The Undaunted Garden, a water-wise demonstration garden, at the Gardens on Spring Creek. The Undaunted Garden will be designed by Lauren Springer Ogden.

“Gardening on the Cutting Edge” will be held at the Drake Centre in Fort Collins on Saturday, January 28, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Admission, which includes a breakfast buffet, is $40 for members of the Gardens on Spring Creek and $45 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased at The Gardens at 2145 Centre Avenue or by calling 970-416-2486.
