Wellington’s Community Action Commission announced earlier today that the fireworks display scheduled for Wednesday, July 4 has been cancelled.
Over 60 municipalities cancelled fireworks displays this year due to bone-dry conditions. About a dozen fireworks displays blazed on, including the Town of Erie’s display last night.
