Obituary – James H. Goodrich

James H. Goodrich (Jim) of Livermore, passed away suddenly on Oct. 13, 2011.

He was born Jan. 18, 1933, in Hartford, Conn., and lived for many years in Connecticut and eastern New York. On a visit to Colorado in 1992, he fell in love with the mountains and streams of Northern Colorado and retired to Livermore with his wife Marian in 1996.

Jim loved to hunt and fish, especially with his sons and grandsons. He was an accomplished woodworker and was generous in sharing his knowledge of woodworking and his shop.

He loved his family deeply and considered helping his children and grandchildren to realize their full potential the most meaningful and fulfilling experience of his life.

Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marian; his children James (Linda), Jill, Timothy (Dani), Kit (Rick), John (Irina); and 11 grandchildren. In addition to his immediate family, Jim is survived by his sister Sally; his brother-in-law Karl (Johanna); many nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to HABIC, the Human-Animal Bond in Colorado, (www.habic.org) in Jim’s memory.
