Obituary: Tillie Duran

Tillie Duran, 89, of Loveland North Shore Health and Rehabilitation, formerly of Wellington, passed away peacefully on August 12.

Tillie was born May 26, 1923 in Fort Collins to Manuel S. Pino and Juanita Atencio Pino.

On Dec. 31, 1945 Tillie married Ben C. Duran at Holy Family Parish in Fort Collins. They had 65 wonderful years together.

Tillie was an extremely devoted wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. Everyone who knew Tillie loved her. She always had a smile on her face. Tillie was an exceptional cook. A quote from one of her great-grandchildren: “Great-Grandma Tillie is a good cooker!” The greatest joy in life was her family. She was adored by everyone who knew and met her and will be greatly missed.

Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; sons John “Tut” Duran and Carlos Duran; five siblings; and her parents.

Survivors include her daughter, Bennie Ruby Cienfuegos and her husband, Richard of Fort Collins; a brother, Frank Pino of Arizona; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Recitation of the Rosary and Mass was held Aug. 17 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
