Annual K99 Radio-thon to raise money for child abuse victims in Northern Colorado

The 17th Annual 28 Hours of Hope is coming to K99 (99.1 KUAD-FM) on March 26-27. Twenty-six-year radio veterans Brian Gary and Todd Harding will stay on the air for 28 consecutive hours to raise money and awareness for child abuse prevention. The event will begin at 5 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, and end at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 27.

“(The) 28 Hours of Hope is one of the amazing ways we can give back to the community and help fight a problem that is not only nationwide, but in our own backyard,” said Brian Gary. “These great non-profit organizations work tirelessly year-round to change the statistics, and we just want to do what we can to help them out, too.”

Brian and Todd, The Good Morning Guys on K99, have made 28 Hours of Hope an annual event since 1998. The Good Morning Guys will have Nashville artists call into the radio station to lend their support to the cause and give them another great reason to stay awake! In 2014, K99 heard from Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, Big & Rich, and more artists. K99’s generous listeners raised more than $130,000 to help fight child abuse in Northern Colorado.

K99 listeners and those interested in donating to the prevention of child abuse in Larimer County are encouraged to call during this time or go online to make donations. All funds raised will go to A Kid’s Place in Greeley, Namaqua Center in Loveland, and the Child Advocacy Center in Fort Collins. Leading up to and during the event, more information will be on the K99 Web site at Anyone wishing to donate to 28 Hours of Hope can make a pledge on March 26 and 27 by calling 1-800-500-2599 or visiting
