Bellevue Senior Center update for Oct. 2012

Now that autumn is finally here, we are looking forward to these events in October. We meet each Monday and Thursday at the Cache la Poudre Grange Hall at 2929 N. County Road 23 in Bellvue.

Oct. 4: Senior advisory council, 9:45 a.m.

Oct. 9: Lunch at the Black-eyed Pea, 4312 S. College Ave. in Fort Collins. Meet at the restaurant at 11 a.m.

Oct. 11: Free blood pressure checks by Elderhaus staff and a flu shot clinic by Rehabilitation and Visiting Nurse Service, 11 a.m. to noon. Flu shots are free with Medicare card; pneumonia and tetanus shots also available for a fee.

Oct. 16: Grange covered dish supper at 6 p.m. Bring a friend and enjoy an evening of good fellowship and food, with bingo after supper. Non-members welcome.

Oct. 25: We’ll celebrate October birthdays and have our Halloween party, with a treat table. Wear your costume! Bingo with white elephant gifts for prizes after lunch. Please bring your aluminum for our recycling program.

For lunch reservations, call the Volunteers of America at 970-472-9630 by 1:30 p.m. on the previous business day. Meals are also delivered to the homebound. Everyone 60 years of age or older is welcome to participate.
