BNSF doing emergency rail repair in northeast Fort Collins

Drivers in northeast Fort Collins could be impacted today by a crack in the railroad tracks.

BNSF Railway is conducting emergency repairs to its track today at the N. Lemay Avenue crossing south of E. Vine Drive. The work is to fix a crack in the tracks.

Fort Collins crews are working with BNSF to detour traffic around the impacted intersection.

The southbound lane of Lemay Avenue is closed south of Vine Drive for the repairs. Traffic is being rerouted west on Vine Drive to College Avenue and south to E. Mulberry Street.

The northbound lane of Lemay Avenue remains open. It’s not known how long the repairs will take.
