Body found along 74e identified as Andrea Bartmess

On Nov. 20, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding possible human remains located along County Road 74E in unincorporated Larimer County. On November 21, 2014, investigators located what they believed to be human remains near mile marker 10 on County Road 74E.

The Larimer County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to assist with the investigation. The coroner’s office identified the remains as 28-year-old Andrea Bartmess and has determined the manner of death as homicide. The cause of death is pending and will take weeks to determine.

At this time, the investigation is ongoing and the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is not in a position to release any further information pertaining to what led up to the discovery or any other circumstances related to the death of Bartmess at this time.
