The August Winds woodwind quintet will perform works by Ravel, Haydn, Coleman and more on Saturday, August 24 at 2 p.m. at the Abbey of St. Walburga in Virginia Dale.
The quintet is part of Astraios, a network of chamber musicians working to connect audiences and performers. Founded in 2007, the musicians come from across the country and have perform around the United States.
The concert will be held in the Abbey main church at 1029 Benedictine Way in Virginia Dale. The Abbey is located off Highway 287, near mile marker 381. Watch for a green DOT sign pointing to the Abbey; the monastery building is set about a mile back from the highway.
The concert is free but seating is limited. Reservations are recommended by emailing info@astraiosmusic.org or calling 469-744-4825. More information about Astraios is available at www.astraiosmusic.org.
