Check out Bellvue Senior Center schedule for September

New folks are cordially invited to check out the center, join us for lunch and learn about our programs. The center is located in the Cache la Poudre Grange Hall at 2929 N. County Road 23 in Bellvue. We meet twice weekly, each Monday and Thursday.

This month’s events follow.

Sept. 1: Senior advisory council meets at 9:45 a.m.

Sept. 5: Closed for Labor Day.

Sept. 8: Elderhaus will conduct free blood pressure checks from 11 a.m. to noon.

Sept. 13: Join us for our annual picnic at Overland Park, 11 a.m. Please bring a covered dish to share.

Sept. 20: The Cache La Poudre Grange will host a covered-dish supper at 6 p.m. Bring a friend for an evening of good food and fellowship. We will play bingo after the meal. You do not need to be a member to attend.

Sept. 22: Bellvue Belles will wear red and purple.

Sept. 29: August birthdays will be celebrated with cake and ice cream. After lunch we will play bingo with pennies. Please bring your aluminum for our recycling program, and thanks to all who participate.

At every gathering, we promise you a well-balanced lunch, good fellowship and fun. We play a variety of card games after each meal except for bingo day, so please join us if you enjoy playing cards.

Everyone 60 years of age or older is welcome to participate in the Bellvue Senior Center program. The Volunteers of America, Colorado branch, sponsors this program for the Larimer County Nutrition Program. For lunch reservations, call 970-472-9630 by 1:30 p.m. on the previous business day.

The VOA also delivers frozen meals to seniors’ homes, Monday through Friday. For a home-delivered meal, call 472-9630.
