COW delivers art supplies to Livermore Elementary

Poudre School District Board President Tom Balchak and other fellow Color Our World nonprofit board members brought “magic suitcases” filled with art supplies to Livermore Elementary recently. The suitcases fit the motorcycles that the group uses to make the deliveries.

Color Our World provides mobile art supplies and kits to individuals and communities in Larimer County and the world who through circumstances or disasters find themselves displaced, homeless or in need — even temporarily. While most disaster relief takes care of physical needs, COW believes that creative spirit needs nurturing as well.

In its first year of operation the grass-roots Fort Collins organization has distributed thousands of mobile art kits to children and families in Colorado, South Dakota, Mississippi, Missouri and to children in countries around the world including India, Columbia, Guatemala and China.
