Find some real bargains at the KRFC record sale on Saturday

Journey to the vinyl frontier on Saturday, Sept. 22, when community radio station KRFC hosts its third annual Vinyl Record and Music Sale in the courtyard at 619 S. College Ave. in Fort Collins. The sale takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — no early birds, please — and all proceeds benefit KRFC.

Thousands of albums, CDs, DVDs and a limited number of turntables are priced from just 50 cents to $5. Station volunteers who have been assembling the donated items say there are some real bargains lurking in the bins, and maybe some true collector’s items, depending on your musical tastes.

Saturday is also the last day of KRFC’s fall membership drive. The station put its own fundraising efforts on hold during the Hewlett and High Park fires this summer, and not only kept the community connected with on-air announcements and information, but also held events that raised more than $20,000 for the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department, NoCo Rebuilding Network, Larimer Humane Society and the American Red Cross.
