Fort Collins hosting Dog Training 101 & Canine Good Citizen classes

Are you looking for training for Fido? There is still room in these great classes! The two classes being held are Dog Training 101, meets Saturday and Wednesday, and Canine Good Citizen, meets Saturdays. The cost for either class is $84.

Dog Training 101 will teach participants how to teach their canine companion new behaviors such as sit, down, recall, door behavior, loose leash walking, and stay, as well as gain insight into the mind of a canine. The Canine Good Citizen program stresses responsible pet ownership for pet parents and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

Age 18 years and up are welcome to bring their pets! Bring a lawn chair. Classes begin the last week in June. For specific class information, call 970-221-6655 or visit fcgov.com/recreation.
